2008 Camp Five Seasons
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I sign up?
Registration forms are located throughout the Club. Please turn your
forms into the following locations: Member Services Desk or
the payment drop box
located in the front of the lobby.
When do sign-ups
begin?
Sign-ups are
currently being taken. Registration forms must be turned in one week
prior to the week of camp your child is attending. All registration
forms for the first week of camp must be turned in by June 2, 2008.
Am I required to pay a deposit upon signing my child up?
Your registration form and a non-refundable $50 deposit are both due
when you sign your child up and can be turned into the Member Service Desk
or the payment drop box in the Lobby. Your deposit will be applied
to your total amount due for camp. Upon receipt of registartion and
deposit, you will be contacted within 48 hours to verify your child's spot
in camp.
Is lunch included?
YES!
All campers will receive lunch and a beverage each day. The summer menu
will be available via your Camper Parent Packet, which you will receive
once you register for camp. A camper may choose to bring a brown bag
lunch. Sidelines is not an option unless a note from a parent is brought
in each day.
What should my
children wear?
The
campers must wear tennis shoes in order to participate in physical
activity. Comfortable shorts or pants and a comfortable t-shirt or tank
top which allow your child to move freely should also be worn.
What should my
child bring/pack?
We
recommend that each camper have a backpack with a swimsuit, towel, tennis
racquet, and sunscreen. We also recommend that parents label their
child’s belongings which they have in their backpack with a permanent
marker, to help eliminate campers losing belongings.
What does an
average day entail?
The day
begins with a three-hour rotation of activities such as tennis lessons, swim lessons,
and a fitness/sports class. After which, lunch is served and the campers
then participate in an all camp activity until 1:30pm when Special Events, or afternoon activities will begin. Towards
the end of the day campers are given a snack and camp ends at 3:30 pm.
What is the ratio
of campers to counselors?
To maintain the safety of our campers, we maintain a ratio well below
the Department of Human Services requirements. Our ratios vary based
upon the age of the children in camp that week.
Who are the
counselors?
Our
counselors are certified in CPR and First Aid, and love to work with KIDS!
Is Camp Five
Seasons available for only ½ a day?
YES!
We are offering a HALF DAY CAMP FIVE SEASONS.
This will start at the same time as our full-day camp, at 8:30am. Campers
will participate in the morning rotation of tennis, fitness and swimming
lessons, and conclude their day, at 12:30pm, with lunch.
What should I do if
I know my camper is going to be absent?
Call
440-899-4555 and leave a message on the camp line and let us know your campers
name, and the date(s) they will be absent. If we do not receive a
phone call, you can expect to hear from us that morning your child is not
at camp.
